Editorial Note:

Yesterday, while driving to Thanksgiving Point for the Tulip Festival, we noticed that the columnar oak trees along the road next to the TRAX line are all dead. {{wife}} said they are likely not receiving enough water. As we strolled around the garden, pulling {{daughter}} in the giant wagon to save us from the whining, all the columnar oaks in the garden also appeared dead. They usually leaf out before our Rose of Sharon trees, and our early spring has those leafing out already, but both of our oaks have not leafed out either. {{wife}} isn’t aware of any pests or blight targeting oak trees, so this die-off is curious. Tomorrow, I need to line out my week and try to set up more calls in Idaho to make my trip worth the drive. Mondays are always so busy, and I have the {{unknown}} issue to resolve, which is long overdue with all my travel taking my attention away.
